One of our leading principles at EcoCaptions is to conserve rain forests, particularly in Costa Rica.

We cofounders grew up in Costa Rica, where we were fortunate enough to experience the magic of pristine rain forests as kids. This experience instilled in us a deep appreciation for the natural world and a lasting desire to protect it. We value the environment and understand the importance of conservation, which is why we have made it our mission to preserve rain forests.

At EcoCaptions, we believe that conserving rain forests is essential not only for the health of our planet but also for our current and future generations. Often called the lungs of the Earth, rain forests play a critical role in regulating the Earth's climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They are also home to millions of species of plants and animals, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth.

Despite their importance, rain forests around the world are under threat. Deforestation, climate change, and other human activities are causing rain forests to shrink at an alarming rate, with some loss estimates of up to 30 million acres a year. Although some governments and organizations are beginning to make small dents in deforestation rates around the world, the threat of passing the tipping point towards a transition to drier ecosystems remains as ominous as ever.

That's why EcoCaptions is taking action to protect the rain forests of Costa Rica. So far, we have purchased 27.5 acres of rain forest to conserve and protect it. Our long-term goal is to continue purchasing not only rain forest to conserve but also to reverse deforestation by reforesting abandoned farmlands, with the aim of preserving and expanding these vital ecosystems.

To achieve this goal, 15% of all profits from EcoCaptions will be used to purchase and protect rain forests in Costa Rica. We believe that this is a critical investment in the future of our planet, and we hope that our efforts will inspire others to take action as well.

We truly believe that protecting these vital ecosystems is essential for the health of our planet, and we are proud to do our part. Thank you so very much for supporting our mission.
